The way she was curled up you would never guess her neck is as long as the rest of her.
The soft brown color of the ladies looks more like fur than feathers.
She gave me ‘the look’ for bothering her. Just reminding me that Mrs. Anhinga is not one to be trifled with.
I love this bird and look for it every time I head down south. Great pictures!
Thanks. At times we will sit and wait while they fish. Try to catch the ‘fish flip’. Fish must be swallowed head first by birds, Anhinga flip them in the air and catch them to eat. Good practice and fun shots. I’m sure there are some photos on this site of it.
