The Night Heron with attitude.
He knows what he wants, and makes sure he tells us.

I am standing where he wants to be. See the look !
Night Herons are known to be shy. Not this one. For the past few weeks this youngster has been fishing right at an open water trunk. When there we go look for him, where he hides and fishes.
This is one of the first encounters. I was just learning he was ‘different’. A few weeks later, I know it, so do the other birds, even the Alligators.
What a cool shot of the night heron, Ted. I have never been able to get close enough to one to get a decent shot, much less a delightful portrait like this one.
Once we found him, and his need to stay in one spot, Ellen and I have been able to shoot him a lot. That same lack of fear for us may get him in trouble out there.
A few of your comments recently were buried in spam, sorry for not relying. Of course now I can’t find them to reply at all. I think I had a spam attack a few days ago.
No problem. The internet has been acting funny this week, it seems.
Our issues here have been WordPress related. It worked well for several years so it was due. 😀
I see his look, he certainly has an attitude. Wonderful portrait!
Unusual for a Night Heron LOL
