For a juvenile Black-crowned you can’t beat this spot for fishing. Sit up on the trunk braces and wait for something to swim by.
If the water’s not high there may be a place to stand below on the gate itself.
He needs to keep an eye on that pesky ‘camera photo’ critter, but he seems harmless.
I have never leaned over to watch when he drops down the trunk. It’s probably a little tricky with water flowing and maybe an Alligator nearby. I don’t need to make it any more difficult for him.
