Visiting a swamp this time of year I hardly ever see White Ibis. Yet a decent size flock came straight across the open water right to me.
The first ones came in low, then shifted to land in trees on a small island.
It was an odd angle, climbing up in front of me.
I was more than happy to get the opportunity. It can be pretty slow there in the fall.
What a beautiful sight!
It was very nice. Ultimately there may have been almost 100 that came in and landed in that tree.
