It’s called profiling. Usually it’s a bull and they are calling a mate or starting a territory fight.

While he is looking at me in the above shot there were at least 5 other Alligator around us. I didn’t take it personal.

If you are a wildlife photographer this is a pretty serious opportunity. Not an everyday occurrence.

    1. They do it in these marshes until the temps drop. Most in spring, but now it’s all about territory. This was a half hearted attempt though and while surrounded by other gators none even bothered to answer 😂
