The Ibis had disappeared for a little while. Where I was, they weren’t.
When I finally found a few it was hard work for a single shot. They hid in thick branches.
Eventually some moved out and I shot a few quick frames. Most stayed away which was too bad the drift wood made for nice backgrounds.
For the gear readers, these shots were taken with a Tamron 18-400 lens. A one size fits all generalist.
Basically it does a little of everything, but nothing really well.
However, it can shoot ‘almost’ macro, wide angle, and way out to 400mm. I have a ‘love / hate’ thing here but it fits about anything you need to shoot when the opportunity arises. I was not planning on anything but landscape this day yet I grabbed these.
