These were taken on a morning when the Spoonbill could not have been more accommodating.


This particular marsh was not very wide, but a good mile long.

There were three separate groups of Spoonbill and as usual they flew between each one.


There was some wind and I guess it was at my back since the birds seemed to land facing me most of the time.
The wing span and colors are especially striking when they drop down and ‘hit the brakes’ in front of you.
