When I shot these I was trying to make something happen. Big marshes are beautiful, but it was starting to rain and nothing was going on.

I was shooting wide when a Great Egret dropped out of the trees.

I went with the shot but kept focus on the Egret flying through. One of those times you have no idea what will come out of the images.


I liked the end results not because they were anything spectacular. What they give is a perspective of what being there is like.
Big, empty, yet filled with a natural setting void of anything to do with people.
