Anhinga have stayed around the ponds and marshes at Magnolia Cemetery.
This Anhinga climbed out of the water close by and gave me a nice opportunity with her and the hanging moss.
She moved several times ultimately ending on a branch that allowed a close head shot.

These are outstanding photos of female Anhinga. You framed her so beautifully in the first photo. I also love the head shot with a curvy Anhinga’s neck. Beautiful!!!
Later in the day I photographed her again in the same general location. I was surprised since she should have been down in Florida or Central America by now. Thanks.
Beautiful bird, and so well framed by the mosses. Great!
Thanks. Surprised she was still here. Tropical bird and heads south for December through February.
So nicely captured 😍
A very unique bird. Thank you. And thanks for looking around. Somehow I have managed over 7,000 posts and thousands of photographs (most are wildlife). Guess I’ve been busy 😂
