I love to get shots of the big wading birds in the deep reeds and cane. It can make such a detailed and real world view of a swamp.
That said, most of the time the image never looks like what I saw in my head. The photos can be chaos and clutter instead.
This series is more like what I really want.
Because the Egret was walking at the edge, with open swamp at his feet, the thick background was there but enough open space to highlight the bird.
Now, next time I go out and have this scene all I need do is remember all of this, in the split second of taking the shots before the bird runs off. LOL, good luck.
