Reflection On The Water, American Alligator

Reflection On The Water, American Alligator

One that should be viewed large. The reflections between Alligator and water are almost transparent.

I published this because it’s actually a common photograph we capture. When the water is clear and the light soft it’s really impressive. But I don’t think I have done a dark B&W before.

    1. They are fascinating, I have never seen one except in a photo. I am not sure that I want to come across one in the wild. I did a post on eyes that reflect today, and a person told me that Alligator eyes reflect orange. And he said there is nothing more eerie than being out in a boat at night and seeing a bunch of orange eyes looking at you. šŸ™‚

    2. That is very true. To find Alligators at night you use a flashlight on the surface… huge bright eyes stare back.

Alligators are everywhere out in wild here. About an hour ago I found at least 5 while photographing Herons. All sound asleep LOL.
