I went out looking for some Barred Owls. It was mid day, wrong timing, but they do have some usual haunts we can check.

Not an Owl around their swamp.

Sitting up over the small swamp this Little Blue Heron was stretching and preening. Light was good for a change so I grabbed these.

The darker blue breeding colors are starting to show. This birds legs are still a green cast so this may be his first year… his world is about to change LOL.
