I had a spot on the edge of the swamp rookery, one where the birds always fly by. Several nesting trees are there and this is the path.
This Great Egret was squawking long before I saw him.
He was heading towards a nesting Cypress and obviously not happy about something.
I never did find out what the problem was. I was shooting continuously as he flew past. I shot so much I filled the buffer.
The rookery provides plenty of opportunities, but even there this doesn’t happen often.
