Most photographs of the Egrets don’t show them under the big Cypress, it’s above or at the least in the branches.
These are from underneath the trees, near the large trunks and knees.
A male flew in low and landed near the water looking for sticks. They actually try to get some branches that have been softened by lying in or around the swamp.
He did a search but found none.
However, I was standing nearby and did get a nice series.
