May starts the time when a bull Alligator looks around for the ladies.

It’s ‘Profile’ time. Alligators will throw their heads back, point tails high… and growl loud. At times bouncing up and down.

A big growl will vibrate everything around them. Others in the area answer back. Territory fights can happen, underwater so I have never photographed one.
