Ft. Clinch 1868

The first site here was built in 1736 by the Spanish. Created to protect part of the Florida coast it was modified multiple times, by multiple governments, up to 1898.

The site was restored in 1935 to the 1860’s design when the US Federal troops had command after being abandon by the southern Confederate States.

  1. I really like the sepia tone that you gave to this image, Ted, at least I think that is what you did. It works for me even better than a standard black and white would to convey the historical feeling of the site.

    1. Great creative choice, Ted. Non-photographers don’t realize how many decisions we have to make when we take our photos and later when we are processing the images.
