A photograph shot at a wider focal length to capture the swamp as much as the Egret.
I had an interesting conversation with another photographer recently. He felt people who captured images primarily for social media like Facebook, Instagram, etc. all zoomed in, or cropped, to show the tightest shot available of their subject. Others that shot for publishing, print, or web sites paid attention to environment around their subjects.
In short the images were about a scene-story as much as about the subject.
I have to agree (of course).
