I love the designs of this old store. A pretty good Art Deco design. Especially considering it’s in a true small ‘Main Street USA’.
It’s an old, and long time closed, small town department store. The type that served rural middle America in the 1940’s – 1960’s.
Sooner or later it will be torn down. That’s a shame since it’s rare to find a building with character now.
On the other end of this ‘Main Street’ a second smaller version, by the same store, is still standing.
Every once in a while we pass through here, I try to stop for a few more images. Some time I’ll look and find an empty spot.
