We have a running joke among local wildlife photographers.
- Person 1 : ‘Don’t You Have Enough White Birds’
- Person 2 : ‘But I don’t have one like this’
Of course both of their camera shutters are firing away.

Will never be enough for Great Egret. Such a beautiful white bird. Specially BIF. Only saw couple of them here. I wish I can see them frequently like GBH.😜
I would agree they are beautiful, and we are lucky to have so many. During fall feedings there can be a thousand in a flock. Best for me personally is we have a rookery nearby so can watch and photo them raising young each year.
However, what people don’t often see is they are a ruthless predator also. One of the swamps worst.
