A marsh scene, the start of large flocks. In this case Wood Storks.
Best viewed large.
I did not see, or hear, of any July flocking. So, they are late. However, once they start it can get interesting.

Very nice. What’s the Board Meeting about, are they on the move?
Thanks.
On the move to new marshes. Many areas here you have no access to. I know places with hundreds of Storks, just private or no roads.
With this many birds they deplete the fish in an area pretty fast and move on. It usually happens at least once in July, but not this year. So here is the first move.
This will happen until November. At that point some go to southern Florida, others to marshes that are closed to people.
In between we walk around in sweltering heat like fools.
Interesting, thanks for this.
Very beautiful, Ted.
Thanks. It was a nice scene.
