Birds, Marsh, Shore Bird, Swamp, Wildlife Young Gallinule (Moor Hen) September 23, 2021 Ted Jennings - TPJ Photography 4 Comments A very common marsh bird but one we usually don’t pay much attention to. A guess is this one hatched early spring. Young Gallinule (Moor Hen) The marsh water here has that special quality of ‘yuck’ here. Thick and bubbly. Next step is probably green slime of some kind. He has an innocent look about him. Very nice!
Better get wise soon 🙂 He will be dinner in no time.
This bird is wonderful! So touching, so cute!
Same family as the Coot, common in marshes.
