Off to the side, watching, not making a sound.
But I knew they were there.
However, while it might seem hard to not notice them two photographers earlier had passed by and didn’t know until I spoke with them up the trail.
They turned and went back, and did find one or two.
Great shot!!
Pink is showing up more and more. We might have a good fall. Oct and Nov typically has been large flocks. A bit of a hike to get out but usually worth it. Thanks.
I think I told you some time back that spoonbills were visiting Bombay Hook NWR near Dover, DE. They became celebrities, stayed all summer! As of yesterday, one is still there. 🙂
😃😃, Yes and Mike Powell and I have discussed it too. They are spreading out. It’s warmer and I’m not convinced they may have been blown with a storm. Their survival has been because by nature they explore more than many other birds. They should know when it’s time to move south.
Great shots, Ted! They do look quite aloof, don’t they?☺️
And in the next moment… goofy 😂
😅 right!
