A little bit of the things that highlight a southern swamp is in this shot.
The Live Oak, which is not the same as northern Oaks, is hundreds of years old. And immense! Spanish Moss clings to these old trees everywhere.

This is a young Little Blue Heron that like the Moss, is drwn to these old trees.
The photo itself was shot across the large pond losing some detail in the Heron, but the bird was only a piece of the image.
Charleston, South Carolina.
The old, and the young, and the hangers-on! Very nice post Ted.
😂😂, very good 🤣. Thanks.
