This was taken in the marsh of ‘The Big Guys’. Small gators need not, and should not, be here.
Anyway, it occurred to me looking through the days images that there was only a single large local. This one. Also he was only visible for a few minutes.

Speaking of unusual for this gator’s location. I hadn’t heard about the first one until recently (it was trapped in June while we were traveling) and now a hush-hush location up the Patuxent River off the Chesapeake Bay has their second alligator (8′) they are trying to trap to relocate to Florida. Speculation of course on how they got there.
They walk between lakes and ponds all the time. But that’s a big distance. Almost always it’s people…
