We saw him from a long way off and of course took a few loooong distance shots.
The basic rules is take the first shot, then setup what you need. Always a good chance the first photo is also the last photo.
Not this time.

We knew he was right over a trail. Of course we went that way, stopped, took a shot, and continued on, repeat.

He let us take our time, get many ‘too far’ photographs.
Ultimately we were all on the same trail and same spot. So this batch is the closer photographs.

He watched us but never left. We never could get a closer shot than these due to the branches and leaves. He was there long after we moved on.
