Escape, Great Blue Heron

Escape, Great Blue Heron

Most days in this part of the marshes an old dead tree is occupied. Sometimes a single bird, other times several, and even different species tolerating each other.

The trees time is nearing the end but over the years we have had some incredible photographs from here.

This series is a few of the most recent, and with luck we will have some time yet for others.

Below a Great Blue starts an exit pushing past Spoonbills and Egrets.

A nice full stretch with the others in the background.

I would love to tell the story of his flight, show images.

Truth is, he went 10 feet and landed in the next set of branches LOL.
