Great Blue Waiting On The Tide

Great Blue Waiting On The Tide

The Heron is standing on the banks of a canal/creek in a salt marsh.

This is a natural cut that fills fast when the tide rises. Even though the ocean itself is miles away levels change fast. It’s the Lowcountry, about sea level.

A good, safe,  place to wait. Alligators climb over the dike from the fresh water side to find any fish moved in with the tide. Soon he may not need to move at all, snatch fish from right here.
