You just introduced me to a new bird, I thought all these birds that do this were Cormorants, I had to look up the difference and it said the shape of their bill. I will have to look closer at these birds when I am out. Thank you for this.
Anhinga and Cormorant usually only overlap in the southern shores. Florida of course. They breed in the swamps by me, it I think that is as far north as they can. Really a South American tropical bird. Even the name, Anhinga, is a Brazilian native name meaning Snake Bird. Glad you found a new bird here 😃
