The edge of this marsh has a cut running along side the first dike. A Great Blue was standing, like a statue, in the reeds.
I had thought this might be the beginning of his morning hunt.
A few hours later he was in the same spot, half asleep. Now I think it was the ‘end of the hunt’…
You two are like me, get out there early to see the birds finding there breakfast. But sometimes the herons patience is much longer than my own. Amazing how they can stand there so long with out moving. I need to pull up a chair to watch that.
