The tallest, and oldest European-American religious congregation in South Carolina, is St. Philip’s Anglican church.

The spire is a landmark and can be seen from most anywhere in town. Certainly helpful for the NYC transplants like me who were never taught the navigational skills needed in the outside world.

The beautiful old graveyard is a history lesson going back to the original colonies.
