Didn’t See What I Saw, Pelicans (3)

This is the third article of three capturing a Pelican trying to eat a huge Bull Catfish.

These photographs were near the end of my images. I admit by now I was thinking of just how many I would be reviewing later.

I was slowing down, the fish was still twisting around going crazy.

Finally a few attempts at swallowing him. Actually it was more than a few.

Now here is a clue to what I discovered in all the images.

Below, the duck weed is further out so the Pelican had swam off a ways. His head ! A small wound (this shows in multiple other photos too).

Ending the hunt, a spin, head back, fish gone. About time !

I didn’t want to publish another set, too many even for a fun scene like this.

This is another example of how we find things reviewing the days work we never expected or noticed when shooting.

Note; the full series of photographs will be published in three articles. Even cutting down to a minimum of photos was too many for a single post.
