It’s early for the Great Egrets in Charleston but they do fly into this rookery and look around. This bird was fishing along the edge of the water and flew up to a Cypress. In a few months he might be building a nest there. Egrets out numbered all other nesting birds last year.

They are so beautiful in their landing with those long thin legs.
They look so delicate, but I guess that’s not true.
