River Otter

River Otter

I heard splashing first and of course thought Alligator.

However, this River Otter stuck his head up and watched me, close by since I was standing on the bank. More than enough time for at least a dozen shots.

He did duck under, swim a little to my right and watch me again.

Below is the last shot I took, which is also closer to my usual Otter photos.

He was floating around and I think he really wanted to see where I was and then cross over the dirt road to reach the other larger marshlands.

Nice way to start the day.

    1. Thanks. It must be Otter time in the big marshes. I captured that maybe three days ago. We were way out again this morning and met some photog’s we know while on a dike. They too had captured some yesterday… and !!! as we spoke about 100 yards behInd us one walked out from the reeds walking from one side to the other.

Now all of us have used your Otter quota up for the year. 😳😳
