A Night Heron made a quick flight between two islands in this swamp. While they are hard to catch in flight I was ready and focused, I had a pretty good chance of getting these.

I lost him when he ducked into the island brush.

In June the big birds are finished here and these Night Herons will be building nests. Unfortunately they are secretive and nest deep in the island brush.
