This small series was taken after my big lens, and constantly holding it up, had done me in. I no longer was trying to catch anything high.
However, this Spoonbill dropped out of the tree and of course I went for it.


Considering I was using my walk around lens they came out OK.
The lens is a ‘one size fits all’ Tamron 18-400. It’s not made for this type of action and you will lose much more than you keep shooting birds. You also give your body a break since it’s not near as heavy as a long lens.
