This is series I love to catch, the Wood Stork. It doesn’t happen often since they are shy birds. Unless they have chosen to nest in an accessible spot we just leave them be.

Here the bird took the usual path of flying over and then a downward right turn. Most all the birds were using this flight path.


I think because they are so big, and light weight, the wings are spread early on to start to break. It always looks odd with those long then legs dangling down.

Landing is trees must not be easy, but the do it with little problem.
