Here a backlit Great Egret crossed in front of us.
The height and angle was right to make the wings almost transparent.


Because there are only a few colors in the shot, and the bird is flush against that solid background nice B&W or monochrome finishes usually come out good.

Wonderful shots. They have a diaphanous quality to them.
