The first shot here may be my new favorite. Everybody posed and in their place.

Above we have Roseate Spoonbills, White Pelicans, and a Double-crested Cormorant floating by.

Next, taken just a few moments later a Great Blue Heron dropped in, the Cormorant ducked under to get away.

I’m not sure who the Pelicans were yelling at, each other or the Great Blue who crashed the party.
An interesting thing shown here, how much bigger the Pelicans are. Great Blues can almost look you in the eye, Cormorants and Spoonbills are no small critters either. Yet look how the Pelicans compare.
As a wildlife photographer you don’t get many opportunities like this.
