A series captured while walking along a trail, with Ellen way out ahead. I think at the time I had found a good sized opening in tall grass looking out over a big open space and decided to see what came my way.
At some point a few Spoonbill came up out of the water from the direction Ellen had gone.
I was the beneficiary of her work. By now she was long past them but probably woke them.
They were not in any particular hurry and moved off to the same place we had started out from.
After doing this so long I expect them to hop scotch all around us like this. I guess if it was too easy we would get bored.
