This was from my first visit up to the garden area of Magnolia Plantation in a while. Ellen walks the grounds, I tend to stay away in the nearby swamp area. Generally avoiding people.
One of the Herons from the rookery down the road was hunting along the edge of a pond. It’s very pretty this time of year with all the flowers, Spanish Moss, and of course lots of trimmed green.
Great for the Herons too. If they strike out here large marshes and the river are almost right behind the grounds.
