Lately we have been publishing images from a number of different places, the Lowcountry, through Georgia, and down to Florida. I think we have been out trying to make up for the times missed due to the pandemic.

This was taken in a local Lowcountry rookery, much less thick green vegetation at this time.
Breeding here is a little behind central Florida too. This year there is hardly any difference though.
So, if you visit here regularly you will surely notice many different types of environments in the next few weeks.

I hope to see one of these rookery’s some day. This years travels have kept me one stop ahead of migration and breeding season. But we have been seeing a lot of new birds as well.
A good trade off LOL. Safe access to a busy rookery is usually the highlight of each springs shoots for us.
