This is the only bird I know of that can make a nature photographer walk away from a Spoonbill. Happens all the time.
Many wildlife photographers, and birders, don’t know of this Egret. Watch them jump, strut, and do a wild dance once and they’re hooked.
You will only find them on the far southern coastline, unless blown off course. Once a year (like 2 weeks ago) we have one in South Carolina Lowcountry.
A few days ago we followed several on the Florida shore, now to view the gazillion images.
