    1. It’s crazy, both the height and speed hitting the water. If they don’t turn their head last minute a broken neck is guaranteed. Their throat, neck, and other bones are actually offset. In a few weeks we’re are going out to a Pelican rookery island. It’s become a yearly adventure with the same conservation group we travel with (tomorrow into the Congaree old wood forests).

    1. Oh yeah !!! If you ever have a chance, and at Ding Darling, literally right before going over the bridge to Ft. Meyers there is a pull of over. Changing tide has tons of these guys diving directly in front of you. Shoot at about 200mm. 😁😁
