Below are a few different scenes, not in my usual series, of Skimmers working a marsh.
Below is a shot taken while I was looking for a good spot to maybe be along the Black Skimmers route as they fished. You can see how narrow the pools of water has become in places.
A good thing Skimmers eat tiny fish.
Next is a nice example of the Skimmer lightly touching the surface in flight.
Last is one of my favorite shows from a Skimmer. Full speed, tight maneuvering, between other birds working the marsh. Below the bird blasted at high speed right between two Black-necked Stilts.
