Taken in an old rice field, Donnelley wildlife area.

This spot has always been a marsh, though some parts were plantation rice fields. Later it was a large private reserve for a wealthy northern industrialist, and finally part of the Lowcountry state wildlife management areas.

I guess the only animal in this marsh longer than the Egret, Alligators.
