It’s hard to dig through even the first days photographs out with the Brown Pelicans. So many opportunities, so many birds.
Any other time I would work and shoot hard for this shot, not at all on their island.
I’m spoiled… or ruined. This is once a year. The tide needs to be perfect and the birds must be nesting. The right tide happens once/twice a month. If Chris, Coastal Expeditions, hadn’t tied his boat up over night on the river day 2 never would have happened.
