Short Break Time

I recently received a message from WordPress (this site hosting company) that I had published articles/photographs daily for the last 1,000 days, have over 11,000 pages, and 27,000 + photographs.

Good grief, I think it’s time for a break.

For the next week or so the site will just have a few scheduled photographs.

See you soon…

  1. I’ve learned so much about the Lowcountry and Charleston area from what you and Ellen share, and about the wildlife, plants and old cemeteries(!) so thank you both very much!

    1. Thank you very much for being a part of sharing the wildlife information and the conservation efforts around here. I still have scheduled articles in the queue, always do. A week or so of just shooting or walking around (if the heat lets us) should be fun.

  2. No need to apologize for taking a break, Ted. Your numbers reflect an amazing body of work and a lot of time spent out in the wild with your camera. Our styles of posting, though, are a little different, because I do not schedule postings in advance. When I wake up, I usually have a general idea what photos I will use for the day’s post, but may not know exactly what I will say about them. I used to get anxious when I missed a day, but now I am much less obsessive about it.

    1. I still push to publish things daily. Being ‘photography compulsive’ is a good description. I’m sure it could be a lot worse 😂😂😂. Living here makes it easy too. Just yesterday I woke early, pored coffee, and watched Owls swore over the backyard. However, I did resist the urge to charge inside for a camera… there’s hope yet 🤣😂

  3. I can believe it! Nearly every time my watch buzzes, it’s a TPJ post LOL! But I love seeing those gators and places I hope to make a few trips to myself. Thanks and congrats. Blogging is a lot of work (and fun).
