There are at least two juvenile Osprey in this rebuilt nesting spot. The original nest site, in the same tree, crashed to earth last winter. It may have been the biggest and oldest nest around.
Osprey must have collected the old branches and relocated to a bend in the same big tree.
This is a prefect spot, except for an occasional Eagle. Below is a shed and shop used by the SC rangers. All around are marshes and swamps filled with fish. Osprey have always nested right here.
Unfortunately for us the view for photographs is limited, water and marsh protects the spot well.
