Marsh Pink (Roseate Spoonbill)

This water is much higher than these Spoonbills want or need. It’s a surprise to see them feeding here at all. I can only assume there was something in the water and they didn’t need to sift the bottom.

Water at a depth of around their ‘knees’ is ideal.

    1. Thanks. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜. We do get decent sized flocks of them so I try to get multiple birds in the same shot when possible. Itโ€™s hard not to like these birds, they are like the rock stars when people see them ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
