This year I have published almost nothing on my biggest swamp nemesis. The giant man eating Orb Weaver.
OK, no real evidence they prey on humans but I know they must. Huge critters that make steel webs and can cause adults of all ages to squeal like young children can eat anything they want.
Now there is bad news. A new invasive spider, that looks similar, is here. I have not seen any but have heard they are as large as a bus.

Me neither. These are big and build webs 3 feet wide. And they tend to be in large groups. The anchor strand of their web is like 10 pound test fishing line 😳😳.
Other than that they’re OK. 😂😂😂.
